In child development, the trunk plays a crucial role in postural control. Thus, postural trunk stability and vertical orientation is an important skill for the upper limbs to perform selective tasks. Furthermore, trunk mobility during position changes is also relevant, while the upper limbs allow for stability through the arms support function.&#xd;
The child's postural interactions with their natural environment can be more or less varied and, therefore, will influence the internal references in the central nervous system. Thus, this observational study aimed to understand the children’s body postures during interactions with their natural preschool environment and whether these postures are helpful or harmful to their posture development. This study also aimed to understand the perceptions of parents, and the educational team regarding what constitutes correct and incorrect body posture and what influences both.</description><description descriptionType="TechnicalInfo">MAXQDA, 26.1.2</description></descriptions><geoLocations><geoLocation><geoLocationPlace>Braga</geoLocationPlace></geoLocation></geoLocations><fundingReferences><fundingReference><funderName>FCT - Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia: UI/BD/154384/2022</funderName><awardNumber>UI/BD/154384/2022</awardNumber></fundingReference></fundingReferences></resource>
