&lt;p> This set of data supports the chapter entitled "Physical Laboratory-Based Practical Activities in School: A Literature Review Centered on Students" which is a part of the book "Practical Work in the Digital Era: Challenges and Opportunities”. published by Springer. To prepare the chapter, a systematic literature review was conducted using the PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analysis) methodology. The literature review encompassed 143 research articles addressing the use of school science laboratories, with a focus on students, published in journals indexed by Scopus and/or Web of Science. &lt;p/>&#xd;
