Developing postural control with playful and intense physical activities at an early age is essential to prevent spinal deformities and back pain in children and adolescents. This cross-sectional study aimed to measure and analyse changes in postural sway and the muscle activation of the rectus abdominis and lumbar extensors in children's preschool natural environment during task performance. Therefore, this study allowed to measure and analyse stabilometric parameters about the children’s development of postural control and identify risk factors for the healthy development of body posture.</dcterms:description><dcterms:subject>Medicine, Health and Life Sciences</dcterms:subject><dcterms:subject>postural control, trunk, children, force platform, electromyography</dcterms:subject><dcterms:language>English</dcterms:language><dcterms:isReferencedBy>https://hdl.handle.net/1822/92888, handle</dcterms:isReferencedBy><dcterms:date>2024-02-07</dcterms:date><dcterms:contributor>Lima Araújo, Cristina</dcterms:contributor><dcterms:contributor>Lima Araújo, Cristina</dcterms:contributor><dcterms:dateSubmitted>2024-06-25</dcterms:dateSubmitted><dcterms:temporal>2024-01-14</dcterms:temporal><dcterms:temporal>2024-02-16</dcterms:temporal><dcterms:type>Anthropometric</dcterms:type><dcterms:type>Stabilometric</dcterms:type><dcterms:type>Eletromyography - RMS</dcterms:type><dcterms:source>Anthropometric data - GIMA, model GBF-2008-B1 and wall altimeter GIMA (0-200 cm)
